Line Shack / Small Depot An old Rock Island switchman shack is the inspiration behind this kit. We have enlarged the basic design so that it can be used as either a Line Shack or a Small Depot. The basic structure is constructed from laser cut Cypress wood. All structural members, i.e. studs, rafters, ceiling joists..etc, are pre cut and notched for easy assembly. The exterior sheathing is cut from aircraft grade plywood so to withstand years of outside exposure. Battens are cut from a single sheet of pressure sensitive veneer for easy alignment and attachment. The roof is made from real corrugated aluminum siding, with most pieces being cut to length. Although not recommended, the roof can be made removable. As with all of our structure kits, the windows and doors do opperate with all of the needed hardware included.
