`   Live Steam Equipment
    Bronson-Tate is now offering wooden replacement parts for popular Live Steam locomotives.
First in the series are wooden replacement cabs, with wood pilots following soon afterwards.

We have enlisted the talents of David Fletcher, in designing of these kits. You will find that their simple design are easy and enjoyable to build.

Ruby/Ida/Mimi Cab Kits:

These laser cut wooden cab kits are designed to be replacement cabs for Accucraft's Ruby, Ida & Mimi live steam engines.

We have designed them so that they will fit on any of model of Ruby, Ida & Mimi produced.
Although simple in design and easy to build, they will greatly enhance the look of the engine.

The roof's easily lift off for full access to all needed engine controls.

Porter Style Cab.
This cab is based on Porter style cabs that were common around the turn of the century.
Although not modeled after any particular engine, it will give any of the Ruby class engines a distinctive Porter look.

This kit is constructed from laser cut, aircraft grade plywood. And features sliding rear windows and a removable roof.

The entire cab is designed to be installed onto the engine with little or no modifications to the engine itself.

The kit will take about a day to assemble.

Roger's Style Cab.
This cab is based on Roger's style cabs that were common in the late 1800's.
Although not modeled after any particular engine, it will give any of the Ruby class engines that distinctive Roger's look.

This kit is constructed from laser cut, aircraft grade plywood. As with all of the Ruby cabs, sliding rear windows and a removable roof, are standard.
This kit also includes all of the decorative scroll work around the windows that Roger's are known for.

The entire cab is designed to be installed onto the engine with little or no modifications to the engine itself.

The kit will take about a day to assemble.

Baldwin 1890's Style Cab.
This cab is based Baldwin style cabs that were built in the late 1800's.
Although not modeled after any particular engine, it will give your Ruby class engine that distinctive "peaked roofed" Baldwin look.

This kit is constructed from laser cut, aircraft grade plywood. As with all of the Ruby cabs, sliding rear windows and a removable roof, are standard.

The entire cab is designed to be installed onto the engine with little or no modifications to the engine itself.

The kit will take about a day to assemble.

Baldwin 1910's Style Cab.
This cab is based Baldwin style cabs that were built in the early 1900's.
This Baldwin cab kit features a rounded roof that were common on Balwin Locomotives after the turn of the century.

This kit is constructed from laser cut, aircraft grade plywood. As with all of the Ruby cabs, sliding rear windows and a removable roof, are standard.

The entire cab is designed to be installed onto the engine with little or no modifications to the engine itself.

The kit will take about a day to assemble.

David Fletcher's Accucraft Mimi

Here at Bronson-Tate, were are very proud to show off David Fletcher's Mimi conversion.
David created this Ruby variant using a standard Accucraft Mimi.
The basic engine remains intack but David did add some of his own details.
The following is a list of his changes.

     1) Replacment of the standard metal cab with our Wooden Roger's cab.
     2) Installing one of our Short Porter Pilot.
     3) Removal of the trailing axle on the engine.
     4) Replacment of the stock stack with a Accucraft Radley Hunter Stack.
     5) Adding a Accucraft C-16 Headlight.
     6) Adding a Accucraft Bell.
     7) Repaint and added his own custom decals.

Aster Climax Cab Kit:

Bronson-Tate is now offering a 1:20.3 scale conversion wooden cab for the Aster Climax. This cab is slightly larger than the stock one, which makes the engine appear to be closer to the 1:20.3 scale that most 3 foot narrow gauge models are now built to.

This laser-cut wooden cab is designed to be attached to the engine, with little modifications to the engine itself. Holes are provided so that all original factory equipment and detail parts can be retained and used.

The roof is removable to allow access to the needed engine controls. The rear sliding windows operate. All doors are separate parts and can be made to open.

Glazing for the windows are provided, but may be omited if desired.

All needed mounting hardware and brackets are included with the kit.

This kit has been designed so that even the novice builder can achieve stunning results in just a few evenings.
