If you're willing to cut the parts yourself from the PDFs that are provided in the Master Class, you don't need any of these kits to build the Master Class models.
However these kits will save you a lot of time.

Bronson-Tate, in conjunction with FH&PB, is pleased to announce, that we are now offering a wooden Pilot for David Fletcher's Master Class 2002 Mason Bogie project locomotive. The kit contains the essential parts you need to build an accurate replica of William Mason's original wooden pilots: laser-cut plywood parts and cast white metal coupler. You will need to provide the following supplies to complete the kit: 1/8" (3mm) copper tubing, mounting hardware.
