The shelves in the West Side Lumber Co.'s Carpenter shop were the inspiration to this kit. The original shelves were constructed out of 1" thick, solid pine lumber. Although they were built out of pine, to the best of our knowledge, they are still in existence in the shop. Due to the sheer length of the original shelves, we have decided to reduce the total length of the kit by about 1/3. If you desire to reproduce the shelves to their true scaled length, three kit will need to be joined. This kit is laser cut from 0.050" thick solid Basswood. The back panel is included but installation optional, and is cut from 0.015" plywood.
